Marine Superintendent

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and implement the vessel and branch office compliance to ISM, HSE, ISPS code.
• Maintain and implement the company's Quality and Safety Management System.
• Investigate non-conformance, accidents, incidents and take corrctive actions to ensure the safe operations of vessels.
• Maintain a strong connections between Management and crew at sea.
• Carry out the selection and reqruitment of qualifiedcrews in compliance with Standards Training Certifications and Watchkeeping (STCW. Oversee the crew schedulling to ensure safe manning at all times.
• Provide Guidance to crews on company policies, procedures and training.
• Conduct schedule vessel visit for training, inspections and audits.
• Develop vessel and office procedures and inductions checklists.

Qualifications:

• Diploma in maritime / nautical or other related studies with 3 to 5 years experince as a marine superintendent and/or equivalent sailing experience as Master or Chief Officer with minimum class 2 COC.
• Good knowledge of local and international maritime rules, regulations, codes and guidelines.

• Posses strong Communications and interpersonal skill and is meticulous, orginised and resourceful having a high degree of urgency.
• Team player / people manager with high principles and honesty beyond questions.
• Strong Commitment to safety.
• Self-Confidence, motivation and goal oriented with high degree of urgency.
• Proven leaership skill and ability to work cross-functionally.
• Proactive with strong interpersonal and problem solving skills.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Indonesian Citizenship.
• The Jobs is based in Balikpapan - there will sometimes be a requirement to travel to other work locations in and outside Indonesia.
