Sous Chef


Job Description:

  1. Accepts responsibility for the activities of Sous Chef Hot Kitchen, catering events, cooks and other personnel in preparing, cooking and presenting food.
  2. Ensures that quality of culinary dishes are produced and served in a timely, cost-effective and flavorful manner and to see that any problems that arise are rectified.
  3. Enforces food quality standards, freshness and all food items prepared are in accordance with the menu specification and Hygiene and Safety Standards of the company.
  4. Assists in the development and implementation of new products in the hot kitchen cuisines.
  5. Carry out close supervision and inspection through all the production sections in hot kitchen processes and staff and report findings thereby ensuring that personnel kitchen meets the production deadline to avoid any delays for the airlines or events catering.


Qualifications:

  1. Candidate must have very strong background of Culinary.
  2. Candidate must posses at least a diploma food & beverage service management, hospitality/tourism/hotel management or equivalent.
  3. At least 3 year's of working experience in a 4 star kitchen, Airline/Inflight catering or the related is required for this position with demonstrated hands on experience in Hot Kitchen.
  4. Detail oriented and good communication skills.
  5. Able to work under pressure.
  6. Professional manner with the ability to meet targets and achieve results.
  7. Strong planning and organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and manage time effectively.
