Our Client, is a leading developer, producer and supplier of commercial explosives and blasting services for mining, quarrying and construction markets in various mine sites in Indonesia is currently looking for an employee for Permanent position in the role of:
Area Manager (for Blasting and Explosive area)
Requirements:
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably in Mining and Geology Engineering
- Hands on with more than 12 years of experience
- Experience in chemical or explosives area
- Matric with at least 3 years’ experience in an organization that includes Operations, SHE and ISO 14001 and 9000 systems management. Incumbent needs to work closely with Training, Operations and Engineering Managers, and with Customers (at all levels) to promote benefits of World Class
- Must have strong organizational abilities, communication skills (verbal and written), tenacity, sets priorities, ability to work independently, organizational skills and flexibility
- In-depth knowledge of computer software including Lotus Notes (World Class and CRM), CCAS, Purchase Orders on SAP
- In-depth knowledge of World Class Systems database
- Administration of the CRM system
- Computer literate, advance MS. Excel skills
- Fluent in English
Responsibilities:
- Make sure that all bulk explosive operations, including plants in their area responsibility, conform to and meet the company standard
- Manage and control the usage of explosive as annual plan for each site
- Work closely with client to design the best techniques of blasting and mining in their relevant areas
- Developing and implementing competency-based training for operators at each Site under their responsibility
- Ensuring compliance with the annual budget each Site by regularly monitoring performance and variance to operational budget and as necessary, taking corrective actions
- Ensuring that each bulk facility reach and maintain ISO 9002 requirements
- Ensuring that products and processes conform to established technical standards and satisfy the ongoing needs of the customers
- Analysing data and consult with management and provide the End User proficiency to run their projects
- Socialize and implement QHSE program for each project in line with company polices
- Have the broad ability to deliver results and grow with exposure
