An excellent opportunity for Engineer Project has arisen to join our Construction Department. Residentially based in GBU Coal Mine Project.
Some of your duties will include:
- Provide technical design (all of out pit requirement design) and analysis for mining services activities; produce daily and weekly plan of project work; create monitor timeline for project work and ensure the completion on time within budget and to the required standard of quality;
- Communicate project planning issues to mining operation and or civil section;
- Promote continuous improvement in the design function;
- Provide direct support and governance to project control team on site for budget setup and revision; cost and progress review; month end reporting included contract valuation;
- Monitor utilization and efficiency of equipment which be used for project work; monitor of water management plan; monitoring of clearing progress; monitoring of road maintenance and payload
- Provide key support for project risk management; and provides initiatives to improve commercial awareness.
What skills and experience do you need?
- Applicants should have a minimum Diploma or Bachelor degree in Civil or Mining Engineering or appropriate discipline with minimum 7 years in the mining or construction industry in similar role as Engineer Project and minimum 3 years in site based with demonstrated project management, cost control and planning skills;
- Proficient in Ms Project, Ms Office, Desktop Publishing Package, Mincom and CAD (drawing); Familiar with mine operation in practice; understand mine operation works and use it to develop and / or review; proficient in Resources Analysis; proficient in understanding Contract Obligations; proficient in Cost Control utilizing software such as JDE or other ERP will be additional advantage; proficient in Planning & Scheduling area will be additional advantage; high level written and verbal communication skills in Bahasa and English.
