Chief Engineer

Job Responsibility :

• The Chief Engineer works closely with the Management to carry out responsibilities assigned to him, correctly adheres to local labour law, regulations and policies, as well as established hotel rules and regulations, policies and procedures of Swiss-Belhotel International.
• Has the authority to assign the responsibilities and delegate tasks and authorities to the staff when necessary in order to economically, safety and efficiently carry out the duties
• Has the authority and responsibility to take any necessary steps, necessary to safeguard human life and Hotel or guest property in the emergency situation
• Manages maintenance work professionally so as not to affect the hotel operation and to provide water, heat, light and power for the entire hotel with water and engineering craft services needed for the safe and efficient operation of the hotel.
• Directs engineering operation and maintenance economically and in accordance with design Engineers specification, the equipment manufactures recommendation, the hotel policies and procedures and the operations schedule and requirements.
• Directs the execution of the hotel safety program including assistant to other Department Heads in following up on safety in all parts of the Hotel operation by regularly inspecting, reporting, recommending and giving lectures in safety and making safety aids available for training exercise.
• Responsible for the operational and maintenance of physical plant and Engineering facilities of the hotel

Job Requirement :

• Must be fluent in English, both oral and written.
• Must be knowledgeable on computer software such as the PMS, Office, Publisher, and other related software used in the hotel industry.
• A graduate of Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or any four-year related degree course.
• With a minimum experience of 5 years in the same position
