Job Description
- Our client a major shipping group in Indonesia is looking for Department Head - Techinical (Shipping)
Key Responsibilities;
I. Budgeting and Cost Control;
a. Prepare and review Vessels Budget to create Budgeting for Technical Department / all assets
b. Monitor running cost for all Assets to achieve Running cost meet the budget
c. Exercise cost control for all assets and keep monitoring the usage of fuel and spare parts
II. Maintenance;
a. Ensure the hardware including but not limited to tug and barges, floating loaders and unloaders, shore side and floating cranes, conveyance system, and operating machineries deployed by the business unit.
b. Planning and effectively monitoring the Assets proper and timely performance of shipboard planned maintenance to achieve The Planned Maintenance System running on schedule.
c. Maintain accurate and update relevant technical information.
d. Coordinate with Commercial and Operation Department on dry docking schedule or other maintenance programs.
III. Inspection;
a. Ensure that all vessels are inspected regularly by internal inspector.
b. Coordinate with other department for management systems and other third party audits / inspections.
IV. HSSE;
a. Ensure all vessels comply to ISM, ISPS and our HSSE standarts and requirements.
b. Ensure Group safety standard well maintain.
c. Handle all technical emergencies in order to ensure responsible backup in taking corrective actions in a safe and efficient manner.
d. Ensure that the assets are properly insured and all claims are following through investigation of cause of damage or casualties.
V. Procurement:
a. Ensure sufficient supplies of inventories, stores, spare parts and lube oil to all vessels.
b. Contribute to the competitiveness of the fleet.
Minimum Position Requirements;
a) Holding Class I Certificate of Competency in Marine Engineer, with sea service experience as Chief Engineering 10 years.
b) Minimum 5 years experience as Technical Manager in the similar fleet size of Shipping company.
c) Good Leadership, organizing and analytical skill.
d) Expert Negotiation skill.
e) People Management Skill.
f) Good Communication skill.
g) Expert in PMS
h) Expert in Technical problem solving.
i) Expert in Electrical knowledge.
j) Good Docking Knowledge.
k) Good English and presentation
l) Have fighting spirit for meet any doubt with company policy
